Behold, I have created a bench!
Dallas| 2:04 amI hauled out some of the wood from the garage, and built this nice bench for beside the firepit… It took a bit of work, but I got it all together! The bench is incredibly sturdy… although a little high. (Short people may complain, but they can just get a foot-stool!) Now I just need to build one more bench and a corner table to go between them! Thanks to Melissa for the suggestion!
Our Coffee Table is Here!
Dallas| 1:56 amAfter waiting six long weeks, our coffee table finally arrived! We really can’t complain, because they told us it could be at least six weeks. I picked it up after work today, and put it together when I got home. The base has a heavy weight in it to counteract the weight of the lifted table top. The table swings smoothly up, and is handy for entertaining stupid cats!
It was difficult to put it together by myself… I put the top on, but then had trouble putting the bottom on. I used a stack of towels to hold one end in place while I bolted the other end on. Success! Now we just need to find a rug for the living room floor!
