Another 18V B&D Toy for my Collection!
Dallas| 12:03 amWe found this hedger at Home Depot the other day, but they wouldn’t sell it to us, claiming that they were shipped the wrong ones. I guess that’s a loss of a sale for them, because we bought it at Rona for $168 today! This hedger uses the same 18V batteries as my cordless drill AND the grass trimmer, so I now have four 18V batteries and three chargers (if I include the charger that plugs right into the drill). Black and Decker is finally starting to figure things out! It features a long pole, so I can trim up to about 14 feet off the ground with ease. The head (cutting part) swivels, so you can cut flat across the top of the trees… it even swivels backwards so you can trim lower bushes, or trim from above (like on the roof). I put it to work on the hedge/trees surrounding our deck, and the result is the picture on the right…
It did a very good job! Cut through even the thickest of branches with no problem. I used to be sceptical of B&D tools, after my previous 9.6V drill was such a weakling… But their 18V line comes highly recommended from me. It comes with a larger than necessary carrying bag, so I can haul it off to my friends/families places and do their trimming too… (Yay.)
