The hammer was on sale for $17 at Home Depot tonight, and features a rubber grip, all steel construction, and a larger than normal face making it much easier to drive nails. Being a 20oz hammer, it has a much heavier, stronger feel than my old fiberglass hammer, and I’m sure it will last a lot longer! And it’s an Estwing… Can’t argue with the name! The vice grips were on for $24 at Home Depot… They feature a nice rubber grip, and that’s about it. They are a regular set of vice grips other than that… It’s one of the few things I still needed in my tool collection!

Well, bagged up anyways:

We ended up bagging at least 30 bags between what we clipped off the tree, and what Chantale raked up from under it (pine needles, garbage, branches, etc)… The pile on the right in the first picture is the stuff we saved for burning in our fire pit.

That’s right, it’s GRASS! The previous owners put down sod, but it didn’t come in very good along the north side of this fence. My secret formula solved the problem… Shady area grass seed (it’s special, just for shady areas!), lots of fertilizer, and lots of water… and here we have it! This whole strip looked brown before. I’ll keep watering it, and soon I will have nice lawn here!
