Me vs. Big Ugly Tree

That’s what you get when you introduce Mr. Big Ugly Tree to some really heavy duty loppers. (No, I’m not referring to the fact that all the snow is gone…) I cut off every branch up to about 5′ off the ground, so you can actually SEE under the tree now! The lowest branches were literally laying right on the ground… Some were even under the ground, as the debris from the tree had covered them up. I wouldn’t be surprised if I dug into the area under the tree, I might find more branches down there. And maybe remnants from a prehistoric society (Like maybe from the 60’s). Some of the branches were (Ok, they still are, I just cut them off at ground level) stuck in the pile of dirt that was left by whoever put in the new sewer line. I’ll have to do a bit of digging to get those out.
So now, we have a HUGE pile of branches… Tonight I might cut them up into managable pieces so that we can use them to create FIRE! Anybody up for some marshmallows?
